Pit lane / Suspension, Shocks & Arms
Suspension, shocks and arms for HYPER GO RC cars
The biggest shelf in the pit lane, because this is the part of a HYPER GO RC car the ground reaches first.
Suspension is consumable on a hobby grade vehicle, and we would rather be honest about that than sell a truck that pretends otherwise. A 1/16 scale car landing nose first from a kerb puts the whole impact through two shock bodies and two lower arms. Those parts are designed to give before the chassis does.
Our shocks are aluminum capped and oil filled, listed by chassis and by end: 16510R and 16500P for the 1/16 cars in red and blue, 14510B for the front of the H14BM and 14500B for its rear, 14500P for the H14MK and the 14301 family. They are sold in pairs so an axle always gets matched damping.
Arms come two ways. A single part — the 14220 front lower arms with ball heads already pressed — when only one corner is bent, and a complete swing set such as the 16200, 14200B or 14201B when you would rather rebuild the whole end of the car. The adjustable tie rod linkages are the quiet one on this page: a few turns on a rod changes toe, and toe changes how the truck behaves at speed more than any other free adjustment you own.

Suspension is a consumable, and we would rather say so
A 1/16 scale car landing nose first from a kerb puts the whole impact through two shock bodies and two lower arms. Those parts are drawn to give before the chassis plate does, which is why this page carries more items than any other on the site.
An owner who has never replaced an arm has either been lucky or has not yet driven the car the way it was built to be driven.
Oil filled shocks, listed by chassis and by end
Our shocks are aluminum capped with oil inside rather than a dry spring. Oil is what stops a truck pogoing after a landing and what keeps the tires loaded through a rut.
They are listed by end as well as by chassis — 16510R and 16500P for the 1/16 cars in red and blue, 14510B for the front of the H14BM and 14500B for its rear, 14500P for the H14MK and the 14301 family. Sold in pairs so that an axle always gets matched damping.
Single arms or a whole swing set
When one corner is bent, the 14220 front lower arms arrive with the ball heads already pressed in and the job is four screws. When the geometry on a whole end of the car has moved, the 16200, 14200B and 14201B swing sets rebuild it in one order.
Our rule of thumb: if two parts at the same corner are damaged, buy the set. Chasing one bracket at a time costs more in postage than the set does in parts.
Tie rods and the free setup change nobody uses
The adjustable tie rod linkages are the quiet item on this page. A few turns on a rod changes toe, and toe changes how a truck behaves at speed more than any other adjustment you own for nothing.
A little toe out at the front sharpens turn in and makes the car nervous in a straight line. A little toe in does the opposite. Change one thing, drive a pack, write it down.
What a worn shock feels like
Damping fades before it fails. The car starts skating over small bumps, then floats after landings, then bottoms with a metallic knock. By the knock the shock is empty.
Oil weeping down the body is the visible version of the same story. Rebuild kits exist for larger scales; at 1/16 the whole unit is cheap enough that replacing a pair is the sensible answer.
Finding the right part and asking when you cannot
Use the chassis filter on the left of this shelf. Suspension parts look alike in photographs and differ by a couple of millimetres, so the model code on the chassis plate is the thing to trust, not the picture.
If the plate is unreadable, send us a photograph of the car from above with the body off. We answer from the address in the footer and we keep nothing beyond the exchange.
Shock lengths across the HYPER GO RC car range
The 16510R and 16500P are 1/16 units and suit the H16BM, the H16PL and the brushed monster truck. The 14510B and 14500B are front and rear for the 1/14 scale H14BM, and the 14500P serves the H14MK and the 14301 cars. Front and rear are different lengths on the bigger chassis and swapping them ruins the ride height.
Suspension sees the most work on a brushless 4WD vehicle, because the extra speed arrives at the ground as landings rather than as noise. Nothing here is a performance upgrade — it returns a car to how it drove when it was new.
Filters, and what a missing price means
The checkboxes cut this shelf down to one chassis or to the parts priced today. Suspension items go out of stock more often than anything else we list, which is a limited run problem rather than a discontinued part.
Watch the size figures on each card. Two shocks of the same body diameter can differ in eye to eye length by three millimetres, and the car will tell you immediately.
Telling us what broke
Please send a photograph taken from above with the body off. That one picture carries enough data for us to name every bent part, and it is faster than any description.
Our customer address is in the footer. We hold nothing personal beyond the message, and the first action we take is to check whether the part you want is actually the one that failed.
How suspension talks to the rest of the car
A shock does not work alone. The motor delivers the torque, the battery sets how much of it there is, the tires decide what reaches the ground, and the arms carry whatever the wheels cannot absorb. Changing one end of that chain changes how every other part behaves.
An MJX HYPER GO RTR truck with fresh damping feels less powerful than one with tired shocks, because it has stopped wasting motion. That is the maximum any suspension part can do for you, and it is more than most owners expect from a pair of oil filled cylinders.
Our service desk
Our services are narrow and we like them that way: honest stock figures, answers to fitment questions and replacements when something arrives wrong. The contact address in the footer reaches a person, and we secure a reply the same working day.
Reviewed across a season, the cars that came back to us least often belonged to owners who replaced arms early. Nothing we sell changes that, and no amount of charging technique or transmitter trim will straighten a bent one.
