Screw and hardware kits for HYPER GO RC cars
The three bags that turn a stripped thread on a HYPER GO RC car into a five minute job.
Nothing ends an afternoon faster than a rounded screw head, a lost body clip or a wheel nut that walked off during a run. None of those parts is worth a service visit and all of them stop a vehicle dead.
KS001 is screws and body clips. KS002 is the rotating hardware — wheel hexes, drive pins, M4 lock nuts and round head half thread screws. KS003 is a broader screw kit covering the chassis sizes across the 1/14 and 1/16 range. Between them they carry the fasteners we actually use on the production line, in the same materials.
Our advice is unglamorous: buy one of each before you need them, keep them in the same box as the transmitter, and check the wheel nuts after the first run on any new set of tires.
3 parts on this shelf
Small parts, whole afternoons
Nothing ends a session faster than a rounded screw head, a lost body clip or a wheel nut that walked off mid run. None of those parts is worth a service visit and every one of them stops a vehicle dead.
These kits carry the fasteners we use on the production line, in the same materials and the same thread forms. They are not a generic hardware assortment with a sticker on the bag.
What is in each kit
KS001 is screws and body clips: the chassis and shell fixings plus the clips that hold the body on. KS002 is the rotating hardware — wheel hexes, drive pins, M4 lock nuts and round head half thread screws. KS003 is a broader screw kit covering the chassis sizes across the 1/14 and 1/16 range.
Between them they cover every threaded fastener on a standard car. Owners who run hard tend to keep one of each in the same box as the transmitter.
Why hex heads round off, and how to stop it
A hex driver that is slightly worn, or slightly the wrong size, will turn a screw three or four times and then chew it. Most rounded heads on cars that reach us were made by the tool, not by the load.
Press down hard before you turn, replace drivers when the tip looks rounded, and never finish a screw with pliers.
Lock nuts and wheel hardware
M4 lock nuts have a nylon insert that grips the thread. They are designed to be reused a handful of times and then thrown away — a nut that spins on freely by hand has stopped locking and will release a wheel at speed.
Drive pins are the other item on this list that fails quietly. A sheared pin gives you a wheel that turns on the axle under power and looks completely normal standing still.
The ten minute check
Before a run: four wheel nuts, body clips, the screws either side of the motor mount. After a run: the same four nuts, because new hardware beds in and the first session is when things move.
Ten minutes of this a month is the difference between replacing fasteners and replacing the parts the fasteners were holding.
Buying ahead
Our advice here is unglamorous. Buy one of each kit before you need them, keep them with the charger and the handset, and the next broken screw costs you a coffee break rather than a weekend.
If you cannot tell which kit covers a particular fastener, send us a photograph with something for scale next to it. We answer from the address in our footer.
What these kits cover across the range
KS001 and KS003 between them carry the threaded fasteners on the 1/14 and 1/16 chassis — the H16BM, the H16PL, the brushed monster truck and the 1/14 scale H14BM. KS002 is the rotating hardware: wheel hexes, drive pins and M4 lock nuts.
On a 4WD brushless vehicle these are the parts that let go first and cost least. A wheel nut that has walked half a turn will take the hex with it, and a missing body clip puts the shell into the tires at full speed.
Sizes, materials and what the filter shows
The screws are steel in the same grades we use on the line, not a generic assortment. Sizes are listed per kit, and the filter narrows the shelf to the chassis codes you own and to the kits priced today.
Hardware is a limited run item for us, so a card without a price usually means a batch is in transit rather than that the kit has gone.
Asking which kit you need
Please send a photograph of the fastener with something for scale beside it. That is enough data every time, and it avoids the specific frustration of ordering the kit next to the right one.
Our contact address is in the footer. If a kit arrived short, tell us which item and how many and we will put it right without asking you to return anything.
Fasteners hold the rest of the shelves together
Every part we sell is bolted to something. The suspension arms, the motor mount, the wheels and the body posts on an MJX HYPER GO car are all held by fasteners from these three kits, which is why a stripped thread stops a repair that had nothing to do with hardware.
There is no performance in a screw. What there is, is the difference between a car that comes home and one that sheds a wheel at maximum speed because a lock nut had reached the end of its life and nobody had looked at it yet.
Our service desk
Our services here are small parts and straight answers. If a kit arrived short, tell us the item and the count; our first action is to send the missing pieces rather than to ask for the bag back.
Reviewed over a season, customers who keep a kit in the box replace far fewer suspension parts, because a loose fastener found early is a fastener rather than an arm. Charging habits and driving surface matter less to longevity than ten minutes with a hex driver.
