About this RC body

Shells are cosmetic until they are not: a split one flexes onto the tyres and a missing one lets everything into the electronics. This comes painted and cut, so the job is four body clips and a decision about decals. It fits the H16DR, the H16BM and the H16GT. Keep the old one even when it is ugly — a spare shell is what gets a car out the door after a bad landing.

Fit and compatibility

This part is listed against H16DR, H16BM, H16GT. Those codes are stamped on the chassis plate under the body; photographs are a poor guide at this scale, because neighbouring versions differ by a couple of millimetres and look identical. If the plate on your car is unreadable, send us a picture with the shell off and we will tell you which version you have.

Living with it

Keep the old shell when you fit a new one. A scuffed body is the right thing to run in the wet and it means a cracked pillar never ends an afternoon.

Does it arrive painted?

Painted, trimmed and with the mounting holes already cut. Four body clips and it is on.

Will it fit my chassis?

Check the fits row above. The 1/16 shells are shared across several model codes; the 1/14 parts are not.

Can I repaint it?

Use paint made for flexible bodies and key the surface first. Ordinary enamel flakes off at the first landing.
