About this RC body
Same mould, different paint, and the practical reason to care is which chassis it covers: this one adds the H16SC to the list. Running two shells on one car is also how we keep a truck looking new through a season โ a fresh body and a set of tyres makes a hard used chassis presentable. Clips and posts are standard across the family.
Where it sits in the HYPER GO RC car range
The 1601D is part of our Bodies, Bumpers & Trim shelf, which carries 5 parts for the MJX HYPER GO range. Model code 1601D is the number every listing here is keyed to: quote it and the gears, shocks, wheels and bodies that suit this chassis all line up. It is a service part rather than a vehicle, so check the fits row before you order.
Fit and compatibility
This part is listed against H16GT, H16DR, H16BM, H16SC. Those codes are stamped on the chassis plate under the body; photographs are a poor guide at this scale, because neighbouring versions differ by a couple of millimetres and look identical. If the plate on your car is unreadable, send us a picture with the shell off and we will tell you which version you have.
Living with it
Keep the old shell when you fit a new one. A scuffed body is the right thing to run in the wet and it means a cracked pillar never ends an afternoon.

Questions about the 1601D
- Does it arrive painted?
- Painted, trimmed and with the mounting holes already cut. Four body clips and it is on.
- Will it fit my chassis?
- Check the fits row above. The 1/16 shells are shared across several model codes; the 1/14 parts are not.
- Can I repaint it?
- Use paint made for flexible bodies and key the surface first. Ordinary enamel flakes off at the first landing.
