About this RC car
We put a 2845 four pole motor and a standalone 45A ESC in it rather than a sealed two in one board, because that is the pair you will want to push later. Power goes down through metal gears, a metal differential and sixteen ball bearings, so the drivetrain holds its efficiency after the honeycomb chassis has taken a few landings. Each corner is sprung on its own, with oil filled shocks at all four corners, and the wheelbase is short enough to turn inside a driveway. Everything on our parts shelf with an H16BM line in the fits row bolts to this chassis.
Where it sits in the HYPER GO RC car range
The H16BM is part of our Brushless RC Cars shelf, which carries 5 vehicles for the MJX HYPER GO range. Model code H16BM is the number every listing here is keyed to: quote it and the gears, shocks, wheels and bodies that suit this chassis all line up. The vehicle itself is a ready to run 4WD truck on LiPo power, so nothing on this page needs soldering or building.
Fit and compatibility
This car is listed against the chassis named in its title. Those codes are stamped on the chassis plate under the body; photographs are a poor guide at this scale, because neighbouring versions differ by a couple of millimetres and look identical. If the plate on your car is unreadable, send us a picture with the shell off and we will tell you which version you have.
Living with it
Run the first two packs on 2S before you reach for three cells. A HYPER GO RC car is quick enough on two to teach you where the limits are, and the parts you have not broken yet are the ones you keep.

Questions about the H16BM
- Does the H16BM come ready to run?
- Yes. It leaves us built and painted with the motor, speed control, steering servo and receiver fitted, the transmitter already bound and a charger in the tray.
- What battery does it take?
- A 2S pack as standard. The 45A speed control also detects a 3S pack and sets its own low voltage cutoff, so the maximum speed on the box is a cable and a battery away.
- Is it waterproof?
- The electronics are sealed against wet grass, puddles and light snow. That is a protective rating rather than permission to submerge the vehicle.
