4.4 out of 5 · 638 ratings

Our 1/14 truck in its third revision — a longer wheelbase than the sixteenth scale car, and the fastest thing we put in a box.

Model code H14BM V3. Quote it when you order a spare — our part numbers are printed on the bag.

About this RC car

V3 is where the chassis settled: the gearbox and the shock towers were both reworked after the first two runs, and the arms are the ones our 14200B and 14201B swing sets now match. The extra length makes it calmer than the 1/16 at speed, which is the point — above forty miles an hour a short wheelbase starts to steer with the throttle. It takes the same 45A smart speed controller family and the same three wire servo, so the upgrade path is short.

Where it sits in the HYPER GO RC car range

The H14BM V3 is part of our Brushless RC Cars shelf, which carries 5 vehicles for the MJX HYPER GO range. Model code H14BM V3 is the number every listing here is keyed to: quote it and the gears, shocks, wheels and bodies that suit this chassis all line up. The vehicle itself is a ready to run 4WD truck on LiPo power, so nothing on this page needs soldering or building.

Fit and compatibility

This car is listed against the chassis named in its title. Those codes are stamped on the chassis plate under the body; photographs are a poor guide at this scale, because neighbouring versions differ by a couple of millimetres and look identical. If the plate on your car is unreadable, send us a picture with the shell off and we will tell you which version you have.

Living with it

Run the first two packs on 2S before you reach for three cells. A HYPER GO RC car is quick enough on two to teach you where the limits are, and the parts you have not broken yet are the ones you keep.

Questions about the H14BM V3

Does the H14BM V3 come ready to run?
Yes. It leaves us built and painted with the motor, speed control, steering servo and receiver fitted, the transmitter already bound and a charger in the tray.
What battery does it take?
A 2S pack as standard. The 45A speed control also detects a 3S pack and sets its own low voltage cutoff, so the maximum speed on the box is a cable and a battery away.
Is it waterproof?
The electronics are sealed against wet grass, puddles and light snow. That is a protective rating rather than permission to submerge the vehicle.

Excellent Value here, don't hesitate! Get one!

This is the second truck I've gotten for my son. After 2 years of bashing it around, ot finally got beyond repair, so I picked up this second one. When you run a 3 cell pack, this thing is SUPER FAST! It has so much torque it will flip right over from a dead stop of you goose the throttle. You will not be able to control steering at full speed, its just too fast and no gyro. Hyper Go.....PLEASE ADD A STERING…

If you want a right sized fast RC tough truck. I highly recommend this one.

For the money, you really can’t go wrong if you wanna get a damn Near indestructible well built incredibly fun and fast RC car. I’m into my fifth decade and I have had RC cars since I was eight years old. Everything from store-bought off the shelf run them five times and they brake models all the way up to Tamaya Losey, HPI Schumacher Traxxas in this little truck by hyper go is right there with him. One tough little basher starter kit. The extras alone make it worth the money, then some! Get one.

Solid little car for the money with a caveat or two. The performance and the extras that come with the H14BM v3 are a great value. Tons of spares. Many complain about the slop in the front wheels. You will get that if they didn't install the inner steering knuckle wheel bearings, like on mine. I know it's a ready to run but tearing the car down and going over everything with a fine tooth comb would have saved me…
